Application Support Engineer

A typical day might include the following:

• Deliver regulatory reporting enhancements and support compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and supervisory requests.
• Deliver end-to-end application solutions, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and optimization.
• Perform impact assessments, effort estimations, technical analysis, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support activities throughout the application lifecycle.
• Manage application maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with architectural standards, security requirements, and development best practices.
• Monitor application performance, stability, and security, and implement corrective actions and remediation measures when required.
• Provide production support, including batch monitoring, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and operational issue management.
• Collaborate with business users, IT teams, architects, security specialists, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable and compliant solutions.
• Contribute to application operations activities, including availability, capacity, backup, recovery, change, release, configuration, and asset management.
• Support risk, vulnerability, access management, and compliance-related activities.
• Assess the impact of technical changes and contribute to the successful delivery of operational and project-related commitments.

To ensure success in this role, you need the following experience and skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT , with a focus on application development and maintenance.
• Medium knowledge of Oracle Database .
• Medium to advanced SQL knowledge.
• Advanced experience with Unix/Linux Shell Scripting .
• Experience with Control-M or similar job scheduling tools.
• Experience with version control and automation tools such as GitHub, AWX, JFrog, Jenkins or equivalent.
• Experience working with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience in the banking environment and involvement in banking IT projects is considered an advantage.
• Experience supporting or maintaining reporting applications/tools is considered an advantage.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• French language skills represent a plus.
