Application Support Engineer - IBM AS /400 Administration

Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves investigating and resolving complex issues across various components of essential business systems. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Mentor and guide team members to enhance their technical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
• Develop and implement best practices to improve system stability and support processes.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• **Required Skill: Expert proficiency in IBM AS /400 Administration.
• Strong knowledge of system architecture and operational procedures related to IBM AS /400 environments.**
• Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and system optimization.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues within enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Ability to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency using scripting or relevant tools.

**Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in IBM AS /400 Administration.**

Shift Schedule: Mid, 2pm-12am (can change depends on business need)

Work Set up: Hybrid

Number of days in a month or week that needs to be in the office: 2x/week

Project Location (During onsite): Ut2 or cg1
