Application Support Engineer - Java Enterprise Edition (Cebu)

About the role

We are looking for skilled IT professionals to join our team as Application Support Engineers, System Analysts, or Analyst Programmers. Successful candidates will support, analyze, develop, and maintain enterprise applications while ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability. The ideal candidates have strong technical and analytical skills, experience in application development or support, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements.
• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and application solutions.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise or web-based applications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues to ensure system reliability.
• Monitor application performance, analyze logs, and identify potential system anomalies.
• Perform system analysis, database design, debugging, and quality assurance activities.
• Support application updates, patches, enhancements, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system performance.
• Document technical findings, resolutions, and system procedures.
• Contribute to technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in application development, programming, systems support, or a related IT field.
• For System Analyst positions, at least 5 years of experience in systems analysis, application design, development, implementation, and quality assurance.
• Strong proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE / Jakarta EE).
• Experience in enterprise application architecture, design patterns, and software troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of database design, application testing, and software maintenance.
• Familiarity with application lifecycle management and support processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in Cebu City.
