Application Support Engineer - L1 - Immediate Joiners

Experience Required L1 Application Support Analyst

Minimum Experience

• 1 to 3 years of experience in:

• Application Support / Service Desk / IT Operations

• Incident management in an enterprise IT environment

Relevant Experience Areas

Candidates should have handson experience in most of the following:

• Incident monitoring and alert handling using APM or monitoring dashboards
• Logging, tracking, and updating incidents in an ITSM tool (ServiceNow or equivalent)
• Working in SLAdriven support environments
• Performing initial triage and impact assessment
• Coordinating with L2/L3 or engineering teams for escalation
• Communicating incident status to business and technical stakeholders

Technical Exposure (HighLevel, Not Deep)

• Basic understanding of:

• Web applications

• APIs / services

• Enterprise application dependencies

• Ability to:

• Validate application availability

• Perform simple reachability checks

• Interpret monitoring alerts (no rootcause analysis expected)

**Deep technical skills, coding, database queries, or configuration changes are not required.**

Environment & Shift Experience (Preferred)

• Experience working in:

• 247 or extended support shifts

• Production / businesscritical environments

• Familiarity with:

• Oncall procedures

• Escalation matrices

• Incident bridge calls

Soft Skills (Critical for L1)

• Strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to stay calm in highpressure incident situations
• Accurate documentation and attention to detail
• Good coordination and followup skills

Nice to Have

• ITIL Foundation certification
• Exposure to multivendor or multiapplication landscapes
• Prior experience supporting vendor or homegrown applications
