Application Support Engineer – Power BI / Microsoft Fabric

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in Power BI Administration and Microsoft Fabric to manage, support, and optimize business intelligence platforms. This role is focused on platform administration and backend operations, including performance optimization, environment management, deployments, troubleshooting, and cloud migration.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimize the Power BI platform and Microsoft Fabric environment
• Monitor platform performance, capacity, and utilization
• Manage Power BI workspaces, gateways, licenses, and related platform components
• Troubleshoot service disruptions and perform root cause analysis
• Support platform upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning initiatives
• Manage code migration and deployments across development, test, staging, and production environments
• Use automation tools to improve deployment and platform management processes
• Coordinate with support and technology teams to resolve incidents and implement preventive measures
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
• Participate in on-call support for critical platform issues

About you

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Power BI Administration
• Strong experience in Power BI platform administration and optimization
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric administration
• Knowledge of Power BI workspace management, gateways, licensing, and platform configuration
• Experience with deployment and code migration across environments
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to work independently and handle complex technical issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to participate in scheduled on-call rotations
