Application Support Engineer (Telecommunications)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to support the implementation and maintenance of software solutions within the telecommunications sector.

In this role, you will assist with application configuration, system enhancements, operational support, and technical issue resolution. You will also work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless system integration and reliable service delivery.

This position primarily involves software applications, databases, and scripting rather than network infrastructure. Candidates with at least 3 years of relevant working experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the implementation and deployment of telecommunications software solutions.
2. Perform application configuration, system maintenance, upgrades, and daily operational support.
3. Prepare test scenarios, develop test cases, and execute testing activities throughout project implementation.
4. Coordinate with third-party vendors and technical teams to resolve system issues and support integration activities.
5. Deliver responsive technical assistance and maintain positive relationships with clients.
6. Carry out additional technical and project-related tasks assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in application support, software implementation, or a related technical field.
3. Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Unix environments, Shell scripting, and Python scripting.
4. Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting abilities, and willingness to learn new technologies.
5. Good interpersonal skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
6. Capable of managing assigned responsibilities and performing effectively under pressure.
7. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
