Application Support Specialist

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to handle critical application stacks and ensure platform stability, automation, and observability in cloud-native environments.

What You Will Do:

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for various applications, including troubleshooting and deployments across multiple environments.
• Automate tasks and deployments using GitLab and Ansible; participate in weekly release reviews.
• Support the observability POC (Grafana Mimir, Loki, Alloy) on OpenShift using Helm and GitLab CI.
• Contribute to the migration of Grafana Central to OpenShift and suggest improvements in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Collaborate with the ITSM team using tools such as OBM, SiteScope, Prometheus, and Python scripts for automation.
• Coordinate with developers, QA, and external vendors to resolve issues and ensure platform stability.

What You Need to Bring:

• Solid experience in application or platform support (Tier 2/3).
• Experience with Git (GitLab) and Ansible for deployment and automation.
• Familiarity with IBM Cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Understanding of the Grafana stack (Mimir, Loki, Alloy) and monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Scripting ability with Python.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) and Helm.
• Basic knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure configuration.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to ITIL processes.
• Experience with monitoring platforms (OBM, OO, SiteScope).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
• Knowledge of Windows, AIX, and multi-platform environments.
• Familiarity with InfluxDB and Apache Airflow.
