Application Support Specialist - SAP FICO

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join a Software Engineering team supporting critical business systems for a large enterprise client in the plantation, refinery, land, and renewable energy sector. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong SAP FICO expertise and the ability to lead problem resolution across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the go-to subject matter expert for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues within SAP FICO and related business-critical systems.
• Lead and mentor team members, taking ownership of team decisions and driving effective collaboration.
• Engage with cross-functional and multiple stakeholder teams to contribute to key technical and operational decisions.
• Analyze complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop sustainable, long-term solutions.
• Support application remediation and IT troubleshooting efforts to maintain business continuity.
• Monitor system health proactively, identify potential risks, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across support processes and system performance.
• Share knowledge, best practices, and technical insights to build a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Master-level proficiency in SAP FICO Module (mandatory).
• Expert-level experience in Engineering/Application Support functions.
• Strong background in Application Remediation and IT Troubleshooting.
• Proven experience managing or leading support teams in an enterprise environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Prior experience supporting large-scale ERP/business-critical systems is highly desirable.
