Application Testing Executive (Bakery)

Our client is seeking an Application Testing Executive to join their team!
This is an opportunity to combine hands-on bakery and pastry expertise with application testing, recipe development and customer-facing product demonstrations. Based on-site in Pasir Gudang, Johor, the full-time role follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:45am to 6:00pm and works closely with the QA and R&D teams.

What you'll be doing?

• Conduct application testing: Perform application and visual tests on finished product samples.
• Support recipe development: Work with R&D to develop new recipes and product applications.
• Manage bakery instructions: Prepare, handle and revise bakery quality control work instructions.
• Manage raw materials: Coordinate bakery raw materials and related orders.
• Maintain the application laboratory: Keep the laboratory environment clean, organised and ready for testing activities.
• Maintain application tools: Clean and maintain instruments used for product application and testing.
• Support customer demonstrations: Conduct showroom exhibitions during customer audits and demonstrate product applications.
• Provide product guidance: Train and assist customers and relevant stakeholders on the use of finished products.
• Prepare additional recipes: Develop additional recipes and preparations for showroom exhibitions when required.

Who are they looking for?

• Relevant training: A diploma, certification or formal training in cooking or pastry.
• Relevant experience: More than one year of experience in a food company in a similar role, or in a bakery or pastry shop.
• Baking and product knowledge: Practical knowledge of baking, cooking and application instruments, with exposure to chocolate, margarine or vegetable cream products.
• Customer communication: Confidence discussing product applications and customer feedback in a professional and approachable manner.
• English communication: Working knowledge of spoken and written English is required for workplace communication, product demonstrations and documentation.
• Basic computer skills: Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite would be advantageous.
• Organisation and accountability: An organised, responsible and team-oriented approach to managing application activities.
• Problem-solving ability: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills suited to product testing and recipe preparation.
• Work eligibility: Open to Malaysian citizens and permanent residents.
