Application Testing Executive

About the role

This role involves performing application testing of finished products under work instruction guidelines, measuring and weighing foods, and conducting simple testing. You will report findings from application tests, share recommendations for improving quality and taste, and assist in ensuring consistent product taste, aroma and quality across all packings. You will also assist in preparing and producing pastry products for client presentations and demos.

Key responsibilities

• Perform application testing of finished products under work instruction guidelines
• Measure and weigh foods and conduct simple testing
• Report findings from application tests
• Share opinions and valuable recommendations for improving quality and taste
• Assist in ensuring product taste, aroma and quality remain consistent in every packing
• Assist in preparation and production of pastry products for product presentation or demo during client visits
• Receive and check in goods against invoice for quantity, Halal Certification and quality
• Ensure goods are quickly and correctly stored following first in, first out rotation system and health and safety regulations
• Maintain high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas
• Communicate well and demonstrate pleasant, polite, efficient, caring and friendly service to customers and clients

About you

• Possess at least Diploma in Culinary Art, Food Service, Hotel Management or relevant certificates, or SPM
• At least 2 years of working experience in related field such as bakeshop, cake shop, hotel or restaurants
• Good knowledge of basic MS Office suite and Google tool set
• Good knowledge of oral and written English
• Knowledge in baking and cooking
• Knowledge of applicational instruments and tools
• Knowledge in chocolate, margarine or vegetable cream
• Integrity and approachability, able to discuss with customers about complaints and product application range
• Willingness to be part of a company representing both Malaysian and Italian products
