Applications Engineer

Application Engineer We are Pramac, a Generac Company, leading the evolution to more resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions. For over 60 years we have always evolved, expanding our product portfolio and becoming the global benchmark for the production of generators and warehouse material handling equipment. Our diverse business lines ensure the company is a leading player in a wide variety of global markets.

Due to the strong growth of our business we are looking for an Application Engineer to join our local engineering team to support our clients and national sales network.

Purpose

• Work with external stakeholders to understand project requirements
• Inform customers and internal sales about the best solutions dedicated to the project
• Support for the Pre-Sales activity
• Preliminary engineering and pricing
• Cross-functional support for the project
• Product placement within the project specifications

Responsibilities

• Feasibility analysis request for estimate
• Estimated costs and creation of proposals
• Ensure that the most appropriate and relevant solutions for each offer are discussed with the various departments
• Manage all aspects of the bidding process to ensure deadlines are met

Activities

• Feasibility analysis of requests for offers
• Develop business proposals in a professional way following company standards
• Support the bid process and management
• Support the sales network in technical discussions with customers
• Contacts with suppliers for requests for offers for specific material
• Liaise with our global factory and engineering teams for design scope, estimation and production
• Periodic technical visits to manufacturing facilities

Knowledges

• Excellent knowledge of the Office package
• Excellent knowledge of English
• High technical knowledge of the product
• Good knowledge of the principles of Project Management

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Availability to travel interstate and internationally
