SHUK Engineering Distributors is seeking a Customer Services Representative to join our Internal Sales team in Christchurch.

About the Role

This is a customer-facing, solutions-oriented role that combines technical & distributed product sales with hands-on manufacturing support. As part of our internal sales team, you ’ll work alongside our field sales team to help grow our distributed goods range of fluid sealing products, gasket materials, polyurethane solutions, precision-machined plastic, and injection moulded components across a diverse range of industries. From interacting with customers to generating accurate cost estimates, you ’ll play a key role in understanding client requirements and turning them into effective, manufacturable solutions.

What You ’ll Be Doing

• Handling incoming calls, enquiries, and walk-in clients with accurate product information.
• Preparing accurate quotes for engineered components in conjunction with the Account Managers and Production teams.
• Assist clients with placing orders, returns, tracking shipments, and managing account information.
• Following up on quotes and overdue orders.
• Coordinating order processing and scheduling production
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant health, safety, and internal process standards
• Resolve or escalate complaints and provide appropriate tailored solutions in a timely manner.

What You ’ll Bring:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or technical sales
• Understanding of industrial plastics, sealing products or gasket materials
• Previous exposure to customer-facing engineering or sales support roles
• Familiarity with Ostendo software (a plus)
