Applications Engineer

Summary

The Engineer works as a bridge between customers and production. The primary focus of this position is to translate customer orders to technical drawings, releasing documentation to production teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or technology
• Five years of experience and/or demonstrated competency as an Engineer III
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operations manuals, and written directions.
• Ability to travel occasionally

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of Solid Works and DraftSight.
• Proficient in MS Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong analytical and reason skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Essential Functions

• Prepares job files for manufacturing use from customer orders, including transmission and substations, parts detail drawings, fabrication lists, bills of material, packing slips, and other miscellaneous information.

• Acts as a liaison between customer and SEECO on engineering matters regarding product application, installation, and services.

• Provide customer service assistance on field installation issues, repairs, quality problems, or other customer problems.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer along with working hands-on in the field

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
