Kensington360 is recruiting an Applications Engineer for a machine tool manufacturer supplying EDM, machining and metal additive manufacturing equipment.

You’ll support customers before and after purchase, carrying out test cuts and machine demonstrations, delivering training and helping customers solve programming and production problems.

This role suits someone with practical experience in sinker and wire EDM, high-speed milling or metal additive manufacturing who enjoys working directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Program machines using CAD/CAM software to carry out test cuts and prepare reports supporting the sales process.
• Deliver machine demonstrations, including programming and analysis of results.
• Provide machine operation classes and training at company and customer sites.
• Support customers with machine setup, programming and operation.
• Use testing and analysis to identify machine problems and develop solutions.
• Coordinate weekly applications work with the Applications Manager.
• Participate in industry trade shows.

What you’ll bring

• 5–7 years of relevant hands-on experience in sinker and wire EDM, high-speed milling or 3D additive manufacturing.
• Practical experience in machine programming, setup and operation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• A professional approach to customer relationships and technical support.
• CAD/CAM training is preferred.

Normal working hours are 8:30am–5:00pm. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
