Applied AI & Analytics Specialist

About the role

Our partner is an international organisation investing in data, analytics, automation and artificial intelligence and is looking for an Applied AI & Analytics Specialist to join its growing team.

The role focuses on turning real business challenges into practical, scalable analytics, automation and AI solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities, shape use cases and develop solutions that improve decision-making, productivity and ways of working.

This is a hands-on role combining AI/GenAI, analytics, automation and solution development, with significant exposure to business stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to work with technologies such as LLMs, RAG, AI assistants, agentic workflows, Python, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake and modern automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise opportunities where AI, automation and analytics can create measurable business value
• Translate business challenges into clear problem statements, use cases, success metrics and solution approaches
• Design, build and operationalise AI/ML and GenAI solutions, including AI assistants, LLM-based applications, RAG solutions, agentic workflows and tool/API integrations
• Develop analytical models, dashboards, self-service data products and insights that support business decision-makin
• Use Python and SQL for data manipulation, modelling, automation, advanced analysis and analytics solution development
• Build and integrate AI solutions using concepts such as prompt engineering, grounding, embeddings, APIs and tool calling
• Develop automations that reduce manual effort and improve business processes and productivity
• Work with modern data and automation technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, n8n and similar platforms
• Test, evaluate, deploy, monitor and optimise AI and analytics solutions, ensuring quality, reliability and appropriate human oversight
• Establish appropriate documentation, monitoring, quality checks and governance for AI-enabled solution
• Translate complex AI and analytical concepts into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support adoption of new solutions through communication, knowledge sharing and collaboration with business teams
• Collaborate with data, technology, AI and business specialists to scale successful solutions across the organisation

The Ideal candidate has:

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, AI, automation, software development or a related field
• Background in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Software Development, AI or another quantitative/technical discipline
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• Practical experience developing and implementing AI/ML and/or GenAI solutions in a business environment
• Good understanding of LLMs, RAG, embeddings, prompt design, APIs and tool calling
• Experience building or integrating AI assistants, LLM-based applications or agentic workflows is highly relevant
• Experience developing Power BI dashboards, analytical models and self-service data products
• Practical experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake and/or dbt
• Experience with automation tools, such as n8n, Power Automate or similar platforms
• Understanding of AI solution lifecycle, including testing, evaluation, deployment, monitoring and optimisation
• Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to identify where technology can solve genuine business problems
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Structured and independent approach to problem-solving, with the ability to take an idea from an initial business need through to a practical solution
• Strong interest in emerging AI technologies and a mindset focused on continuous learning and improvement
