About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Applied AI Solutions Engineer combining strong software engineering skills with a consulting mindset.

The role sits between software engineering, data, AI and business . You will work directly with stakeholders, understand their problems and quickly turn available data into working applications, data products and AI-enabled solutions.

This is not a traditional Data Scientist role. We are looking for someone who can build, deploy and iterate real solutions , not only analyse data or create prototypes.

What You'll Do

• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand problems and processes
• Turn ambiguous requirements into practical technical solutions
• Build applications, data products, simulations, optimizers and AI-enabled workflows
• Connect and work with data from different enterprise and operational sources
• Use tools such as Claude Code, Codex and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development
• Build and integrate LLM, RAG and agentic solutions where they create real value
• Validate solutions with users and real data and iterate quickly
• Own solutions end-to-end from discovery through implementation and adoption
• Work with IT, Data and Platform teams to scale successful solutions

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on software engineering skills
• Very good Python and SQL
• Commercial experience with Databricks
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience building real applications or data products
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, testing and code quality
• Practical experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex or GitHub Copilot
• Understanding of modern LLM, RAG and agentic architectures
• Strong communication skills and a consulting mindset
• Ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders and translate business problems into technical solutions
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis

• Technology consulting or client-facing engineering background
• Manufacturing, operations or supply chain exposure
• Optimization, simulation or operations research experience
• Machine Learning or Data Science background
• UX or product design experience

Working Model & Travel

This is a global role involving regular cooperation with international business teams and operational sites.

You should expect approximately 2-3 international trips per quarter , typically around 1 week per trip .

The purpose of the travel is to work directly with local teams, understand real business problems and build solutions together with the people who will use them.
