Applied Machine Learning Engineer Senior Consultant II (Software Engineering Focus)

For our client, we are seeking a Applied Machine Learning Engineer Senior Consultant II (Software Engineering Focus) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will help shape and deliver software solutions that embed machine learning and Generative AI capabilities into production environments. The position combines hands-on software engineering with platform feature development, quality engineering, and collaborative delivery across UI, APIs, and backend services. You will work closely with product and technical partners to build reliable, testable, and scalable solutions that support user needs and business outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $193,725 annually

Responsibilities

• Implement applications following 12-factor principles
• Design and maintain features across the product platform, including UI, APIs, and backend services
• Engage in paired programming and test-driven development
• Expand test coverage and adherence to best practices
• Participate in strategy execution with user needs in mind
• Coach junior team members on technologies and XP practices
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and practices

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 4.x+
• Proficient in Python programming
• Experience deploying Generative AI and machine learning solutions in production
• Familiar with CI/CD pipeline tools, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions
