About the role

We are seeking both experienced Tradesman Carpenters and keen Apprentice Carpenters to join our growing team at Realbuild Carpentry in Narellan, NSW. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of carpentry projects whilst being part of a professional and collaborative team. Whether you are an experienced tradesman looking to advance your career or an apprentice eager to learn the trade, this role will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in residential and commercial carpentry work. You will work on-site across the Narellan area and surrounding regions, contributing to projects that showcase quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Performing a range of carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, joinery, and installation of timber products

• Reading and interpreting building plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work

• Measuring, cutting, shaping, and joining timber and other materials to required specifications

• Assembling and erecting structures such as roof frames, wall frames, and floor systems

• Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations

• Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order and ensuring they are used safely

• Working collaboratively with other tradespeople, supervisors, and site managers

• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all health and safety requirements

• For apprentices: gaining practical experience under the guidance of experienced tradespeople and completing required training modules as part of the apprenticeship programme

What we're looking for

• For Tradesman positions: A valid carpentry trade qualification and current licence to practise as a qualified carpenter in New South Wales
• For Apprentice positions: A genuine passion for the carpentry trade and willingness to learn from experienced professionals
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Physical fitness and capability to perform demanding manual work in varying weather conditions
• A current valid driver's licence for travel between job sites.

• For tradesman positions: Proven experience in residential and/or commercial carpentry projects
