Apprentice Care Assistant

Field House Care Home in Eye, is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Apprentice Care Assistant. This role is ideal for someone beginning their career in health and social care and looking for hands‑on experience alongside structured training with our local training provider.

As an Apprentice Care Assistant, you will learn and develop the essential skills needed to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to our residents. You will work alongside experienced staff who will support you throughout your apprenticeship journey.

Hours of work aged 18 and under are 5 days a week, 30 hours shift patterns 7am - 1pm and 1pm - 7pm, working every other weekend. For over 18's - 34.5 hours a week, shift patterns are 7-1pm 1-7pm, 7am - 7pm, 7pm - 7am, working every other weekend. Flexibility is required.

Training & Development

• Enrolment with a local training provider
• Working towards NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care
• Regular supervision, mentoring, and practical learning
• A supportive environment that encourages growth and confidence

• Assisting residents with daily living tasks
• Supporting independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Learning safe moving & handling, personal care, and communication skills
• Working as part of a friendly, professional team
• Contributing to a warm, welcoming home environment
