Apprentice Carpenter

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction, providing a solid foundation for a career in the trades. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and an interest in developing skills across multiple construction disciplines, including woodworking. Duties

• Assist senior carpenters with framing, cabinetry, and finishing work using hand tools and power tools
• Learn to read construction drawings
• Support siding projects
• Participate in drywall setup
• Aid in projects including woodwork repairs and surface finishing
• Help with construction painting, caulking, and sealing tasks to ensure quality finishes
• Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to ensure safety and efficiency on site
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of construction tools, hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures
• Familiarity with construction drawings is a plus
• Prior maintenance person experience or woodworking background is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
• Willingness to learn new skills across various trades such as siding
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions from supervisors
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or certifications in carpentry or construction trades preferred but not required
