Apprentice Carpenter

Overview

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, willing to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in residential construction.

This position will involve working alongside experienced carpenters on a variety of projects including siding, steel roofing, renovations, new construction, framing, trim work, flooring, windows and doors, and general carpentry.

Duties

• Assisting experienced carpenters with daily tasks
• Siding, soffit and fascia installation
• Framing and general carpentry
• Interior trim and finish work
• Flooring installation
• Window and door installation
• Material handling and jobsite setup
• Keeping jobsites clean, organized and safe
• Learning proper construction methods and techniques
• Working efficiently as part of a small crew

Requirements

• Some construction experience preferred, but not required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions and working at heights
• Able to take direction and work well with others
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Own basic hand tools considered an asset
• Carpentry apprenticeship experience would be considered an asset

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
