Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of chillers, refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and related HVAC equipment.
• Learn to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to troubleshoot system issues effectively.
• Support field service operations by performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on mechanical equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical circuits and ensure proper equipment functioning.
• Develop skills in welding, equipment repair, and property maintenance tasks necessary for HVAC/R systems.
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working with refrigerants like ammonia and handling equipment such as pumps, valves, and compressors.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of construction principles and mechanical systems is preferred.
• Prior service technician or field service experience is a plus but not required; eagerness to learn is essential.
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design concepts, and plumbing systems will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of refrigeration processes, air conditioning systems, and boiler operation is desirable.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate tools such as welders and ohmmeters confidently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving vehicles is beneficial.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
