Maybe you’re looking for your first opportunity in the electrical industry. Maybe you’ve started an apprenticeship but want a team that gives you more chances to learn and grow.

At Topa Electrical, we’re looking for an apprentice who is curious, reliable and ready to give things a go. You don’t need to know everything. We’re interested in how you learn, how you treat people and whether you take pride in getting better.

We work across new homes, maintenance, solar, EV charging and home automation. One day you could be learning how to find a fault. Another, you could be helping install a feature that gives a developer’s new home a real selling point and makes everyday life easier for the people who move in.

What you’ll learn

Working alongside experienced electricians, you’ll build practical skills in residential wiring and fit-outs, maintenance, fault finding, testing and safe work practices. As you develop, you’ll have opportunities to learn about solar, EV charging and home automation too.

We’ll expect you to ask questions, listen carefully, use feedback and speak up when you have an idea. We’re always looking for better ways to work and better ways to serve our customers.

You’ll be a good fit if you…

• Are eager to learn and willing to put in the effort
• Turn up on time and follow through on what you say you’ll do
• Care about doing safe, tidy, quality work
• Treat customers and teammates with respect
• Are comfortable learning to use apps and digital job systems
• Have the right to work in New Zealand

A driver licence and a Site Safety Card would be useful. Tell us where you’re at with both when you apply. Whether you’re looking to start an apprenticeship or continue one you’ve already begun, we’d like to hear from you.
