Apprentice Electrician

Clear View Electric Ltd. is looking for an Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone who has completed Basic Trade School (Level 1) and wants to continue developing their skills in the electrical trade.

Our work is varied. You won’t be doing the same thing every day. We work on:

• Custom homes and renovations
• Residential service and troubleshooting
• Commercial construction and renovations
• Commercial service work
• Generators
• EV chargers
• Lighting and lighting controls
• Low-voltage systems
• Service upgrades and electrical distribution

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who:

• Shows up on time and ready to work
• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Is willing to learn and take direction
• Takes pride in clean, professional work
• Works well as part of a crew
• Can also be trusted to complete tasks independently as their experience grows
• Communicates well with coworkers, customers and contractors
• Understands that keeping the job site and service vehicle organized is part of the job
• Wants to become a well-rounded licensed electrician — not just complete their apprenticeship hours

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work alongside our licensed electricians and other apprentices on a wide variety of projects. Depending on your experience, you’ll assist with and gradually take on more responsibility for:

• Rough-ins and finishing
• Installing receptacles, switches, lighting and electrical equipment
• Running and terminating wiring
• Reading drawings and plans
• Troubleshooting and service work
• Panel and service work
• Maintaining clean and organized job sites
• Loading and organizing materials and service vehicles
• Learning proper installation methods and Ontario Electrical Safety Code requirements

As your skills develop, we’ll give you more responsibility and independence.

Requirements

• Registered 309A Electrical Apprentice
• Basic/Level 1 Trade School completed
• Valid driver’s licence
• Reliable transportation
• Basic electrical hand tools
• Commitment to safe work practices
• Willingness to work throughout the Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Stayner and surrounding area

We’re looking for someone who wants to learn the trade properly, become a strong electrician and grow with our team.
