Apprentice Electrician

The role of an apprentice electrician at Eastern Electrical Corp is pivotal in supporting

the electrical team by assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of

electrical systems. This position serves as a training ground for those looking to

advance their careers in the electrical industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Assisting Senior Electricians

 Support senior electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of

electrical systems.

 Follow instructions and guidelines provided by senior electricians to ensure work

is done safely and efficiently.

2. Learning and Development

 Participate actively in on-the-job training and classroom instruction to gain

knowledge and skills relevant to the trade.

 Keep abreast of the latest electrical codes, standards, and best practices.

3. Safety Compliance

 Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

 Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

 Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the supervisor immediately.

4. Equipment Handling

 Assist in the setup and operation of electrical tools and equipment.

 Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.

5. Installation and Maintenance

 Help in the installation of wiring, conduits, lighting fixtures, and other electrical

components.

 Perform basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fuses, and

switches under supervision.

6. Documentation and Reporting

 Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on

various tasks.

 Submit reports to the supervisor as required.

7. Customer Interaction

 Communicate effectively and professionally with customers when on-site.

 Address any customer concerns or questions and relay them to senior

electricians.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
