Apprentice Electrician

Role Overview

JM Energy Savings is seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your electrical skills and gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector, working alongside experienced electricians and solar PV installation teams.

You will assist with the installation of solar PV systems across domestic, commercial and agricultural sites, while developing your knowledge of electrical systems, renewable energy technologies and industry safety standards.

Essential Requirements

• Currently undertaking an electrical apprenticeship.
• Strong interest in electrical work and renewable energy.
• Good practical skills and a willingness to learn.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to travel to job sites as required.
• Full, clean driving licence desirable.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist qualified electricians with the installation of solar PV systems at domestic, commercial and agricultural properties.
• Support the installation of inverters, batteries, cabling, electrical components and associated equipment under appropriate supervision.
• Assist with the preparation of tools, materials and equipment for installation projects.
• Work alongside electricians, roofers and other installation team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Learn to identify electrical components, understand system layouts and follow installation procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment on site.
• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and relevant site safety requirements.
• Treat customers and their properties with professionalism and respect.
• Attend training and develop the practical skills and technical knowledge required throughout the apprenticeship.
• Carry out additional duties as required to support the installation team.
