Apprentice Electrician Commercial Construction

Lynn Electric is accepting applications for motivated individuals ready to start a career in the electrical trade. Preference will be given to applicants who are enrolled in or recently graduated from an electrical technology program, or who have 1-2 years of field experience. Other relevant training or experience will also be considered. If you're eager to learn and willing to work hard, we want to hear from you.

As an Apprentice Electrician, you'll support commercial and industrial projects by assisting with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of wiring, fixtures, and electrical equipment on new construction builds while maintaining safety and quality standards. You'll work alongside experienced Journeymen and Foremen to learn the trade, build skills, and contribute to high-quality electrical work across our projects.

What You'll Do

• Assist with installation of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
• Pull wire, bend conduit, and help prepare materials
• Support Journeymen with troubleshooting and repair tasks
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow site safety rules
• Read and interpret basic instructions, drawings, and directions
• Learn proper use of tools, materials, and equipment
• Represent Lynn Electric with professionalism on every jobsite

What We're Looking For

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow direction and work safely
• Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude
• Comfort working on construction sites in varying weather
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Previous electrical or construction experience is helpful but not required

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, year-round work
• Primarily new commercial and multi-family construction projects
• Work is based in the KC Metro, with occasional travel to surrounding areas

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, and working overhead
• Occasional work in tight or confined spaces
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind
• Work may involve noisy, dusty, or fast-paced environments typical of active construction sites
• Must be able to safely use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) required on all jobsites
