Are you hands-on, mechanically minded and looking to start a career in the engineering and maintenance trade? Wodonga Rendering is seeking a motivated and reliable 1st Year Apprentice Fitter to join our team.

This is an ecellent opportunity for someone eager to learn, develop practical skills and work towards becoming a qualified fitter in an industrial environment.

About the Role

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will gain hands-on experience and undertake training in a variety of mechanical fitting and maintenance tasks, including:

• Assisting with the maintenance, repair and servicing of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Learning to assemble, dismantle and fit mechanical components.
• Assisting with fault-finding and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Learning to use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely.
• Assisting with preventative maintenance to keep machinery operating efficiently.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures.
• Attending TAFE and completing the required apprenticeship training.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Motivated, reliable and willing to learn.
• Mechanically minded with an interest in machinery and equipment.
• Hands-on and enjoys problem-solving.
• Able to work well within a team and follow instructions.
• Committed to workplace safety and completing their apprenticeship.
• Willing to undertake a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade qualification.

No previous fitting or mechanical experience is required. We welcome school leavers and applicants looking to begin a career in mechanical maintenance.
