We have multiple opportunities for Apprentice Mechanics, to join Hawk Logistics in one of its three Victorian based workshops.

You will be responsible for:

• Undertaking practical on-the-job training as part of your apprenticeship.

• Learning to diagnose, inspect and repair diesel-powered heavy vehicles under the supervision of qualified mechanics.

• Learning to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment and workshop machinery safely and correctly.

• Learning and applying safe work practices when working around trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.

• Completing training and coursework requirements associated with your apprenticeship.

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A genuine interest in pursuing a career as a Diesel Motor Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
• A strong interest in trucks, heavy vehicles, diesel engines and mechanical equipment.
• Previous mechanical, automotive, workshop or hands-on experience is desirable but not essential.
• A willingness and commitment to complete a formal apprenticeship and associated training requirements.
• Ability to safely follow instructions and work under the direction of qualified mechanics and supervisors.
• Good mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new skills.

• Current driver's licence is desirable.
• Current forklift licence is desirable.
