What they need

Apprentice Motorcycle Technician – Triumph

Start your career working with one of the world’s most iconic motorcycle brands.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Motorcycle Technician to join our Triumph dealership and begin a career within the motorcycle industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for motorcycles who enjoys understanding how things work, working with their hands and solving problems.

You don’t need to be an experienced mechanic – that’s what the apprenticeship is for. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and mechanical aptitude who wants to learn and develop into a skilled motorcycle technician.

The Role

Working alongside our experienced workshop team, you’ll receive practical, hands-on training while working towards your Level 3 Motorcycle Technician (Repair and Maintenance) Apprenticeship.

As your skills and confidence develop, you’ll learn to:

  • Carry out motorcycle servicing and routine maintenance
  • Inspect motorcycles and identify potential faults
  • Remove, repair and replace mechanical components
  • Work with braking, suspension, drivetrain and electrical systems
  • Use specialist tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and prepare motorcycles for customers
  • Follow Triumph manufacturer procedures and technical information
  • Develop your diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, organisation and workshop safety

You’ll gradually take on more responsibility as your knowledge and ability develop.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re much more interested in your attitude and potential than an extensive CV.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A genuine passion for motorcycles
  • An interest in mechanics, engineering or how things work
  • Some previous hands-on mechanical experience – whether through school/college, work experience, maintaining your own motorcycle, car, bicycle, kart or other mechanical projects
  • Good practical and problem-solving skills
  • A willingness to listen, learn and take instruction
  • A reliable and punctual approach
  • Pride in doing a job properly
  • The ability to work as part of a team

Previous motorcycle maintenance experience would be a definite advantage, but isn’t essential.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who genuinely wants to build a long-term career as a motorcycle technician.

What You’ll Get

You’ll be joining an established Triumph dealership where you’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians while working on the latest Triumph motorcycles and technology.

Alongside your apprenticeship training, you’ll gain real dealership experience and develop the skills required to become a fully qualified motorcycle technician.

For the right person, our aim isn’t simply to provide an apprenticeship – we want to develop someone who can become a valuable long-term member of our workshop team.

Interested?

If motorcycles are more than just transport to you, you’re mechanically minded and you’re looking for an opportunity to turn that interest into a career, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay: £16,640.00-£26,437.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Employee discount

Application question(s):

  • Why you want to become a gmotorcycle technician and what you’ve done that demonstrates your interest in motorcycles or mechanics.

Licence/Certification:

  • Motorcycle Licence (Any Level) (preferred)

Work Location: In person
