Early Years Educator - Apprenticeship Level 3

Job Description

• Nursery assistants are in charge of providing a safe childcare environment. Whether the children are playing, eating, or sleeping. Keeping a close watch to prevent accidents or injuries this requires a high level of concentration and being alert to any situation.
• Beyond safety, nursery assistants also maintain a fun and educational environment for children under their care. They work closely with the practitioners and supervisors to develop engaging activities. Also caring for children with disabilities, they adapt the activities to met the needs of inclusion of everyone.
• To meet a child's needs no matter who is on duty, recording and keeping details on each child in the nursery. Information may include: - Attendance, Temperament, Food Allergies and any special accommodations the child requires .
• Alongside the other practitioners and supervisors prepare healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children. As new children join the nursery keep track of allergies/dietary concerns and any meal alternatives they may need.

We provide childcare for children from 3 months to 12 years old

Additional Information

Qualifications: -

• Math's and English at A-C or 4-9 at GCSE
• MUST have a Level 2 childcare qualification

Training Provided: -

• Your role and responsibilities will be set out. You will receive training and on-the-job experience to up-skill in your role.
• If successful, you will complete a Level-3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship program with our training provider - Realise.

• An Enhanced DBS will be required, costs to be met by applicant

Expected hours: 35.0 per week

Licence/Certification:

• Level 2 in Childcare (required)
• English at A-C or 4-9 GCSE grade? (required)
• Maths at A-C or 4-9 GCSE grade? (required)
