Job Summary

Duties

• Assist with the installation and assembly of piping systems using hand tools and power tools
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide pipe fitting tasks
• Support welding activities including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and basic welding techniques under supervision
• Use precision measurement tools such as calipers and basic math skills to ensure accurate pipe cuts and fittings
• Participate in rigging operations to lift and position pipes safely during installation or maintenance projects
• Help with routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of piping systems and mechanical components
• Gain exposure to HVAC systems, plumbing, schematics, and manufacturing processes relevant to pipe fitting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework in mechanics or construction is a plus
• Demonstrated interest in welding (MIG/TIG), HVAC, plumbing or related fields
• Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and the use of hand tools
• Ability to read simple blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Willingness to learn new skills such as welding techniques, rigging procedures, and blueprint reading
• Basic math skills including measurements and calculations necessary for pipe fitting tasks
