What they need

Love a chat, thrive on being organised and want to do something that matters? Keep reading!

At Amegreen Children’s Services, finding the right people makes a real difference. Our teams provide care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs, and we need brilliant people behind the scenes to help us find the brilliant people on the front line.

That’s where you come in!

We’re looking for a bubbly, enthusiastic and can-do Apprentice Recruitment Administrator to join our Head Office team in Mortimer. Someone who brings energy into the room, loves being around people and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career, gain a recognised qualification and learn how recruitment works from the inside. You’ll work predominantly alongside our Recruitment team, but you’ll also have the opportunity to support other teams across Head Office. If you like variety and enjoy getting involved in different things, you’ll feel right at home.

No recruitment experience? No problem! We’re much more interested in your personality, attitude and willingness to learn than what’s already on your CV.

So, what will you actually be doing?

Forget the idea that an office apprenticeship means sitting quietly behind a computer all day. You’ll be right in the middle of things, helping our teams stay organised, connecting with people and making things happen.

Your day-to-day could include:

  • Getting interviews in the diary by coordinating dates and times and making sure everything runs smoothly.
  • Being part of the candidate experience by helping candidates feel welcome, responding to queries and supporting the team throughout recruitment.
  • Giving our job adverts a refresh to ensure they’re clear, engaging and encourage the right people to apply.
  • Attending recruitment fairs as needed to promote opportunities at Amegreen and connect with potential candidates.
  • Assisting with Right to Work checks and reference checks to help ensure the recruitment process runs smoothly.
  • Being the extra pair of hands everyone appreciates by helping with general administration and supporting Recruitment and other Head Office teams when needed.
  • Getting involved in new projects, learning new skills, sharing ideas and discovering how different parts of the business work together.
  • Learning something new every day by working alongside experienced colleagues who will support you as you grow in confidence and take on more responsibility.

You’ll quickly become an important part of the team, helping us stay organised, work efficiently and find the people who make a difference to the lives of our young people.

You might be a great fit if you’re someone who:

  • Has a bubbly, outgoing personality and brings a positive attitude to work.
  • Loves chatting to people and feels confident picking up the phone or sending an email.
  • Is organised, enjoys ticking things off a to-do list and takes pride in getting the details right.
  • Has a proactive, “I’ll give that a go!” attitude rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Is happy to switch between tasks and lend a hand wherever the team needs support.
  • Is curious, asks questions and is keen to learn new skills.
  • Can use their initiative but knows when to ask for help.
  • Wants to build a career, gain a qualification and make the most of the opportunity.

You don’t need to know everything already. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude who is ready to learn, get involved and make the role their own.

What’s in it for you?

Starting a new career can feel like a big step, so we’ll make sure you have the support and opportunities to build your confidence along the way.

You’ll receive:

  • A recognised Business Administration qualification alongside hands-on experience.
  • Dedicated study time within your working week.
  • A full induction to Amegreen and the work we do.
  • Support, guidance and regular feedback from experienced colleagues.
  • Access to our online learning portal, with over 100 CPD courses.
  • Training in areas including safeguarding and GDPR.
  • The chance to learn about recruitment, HR and wider business operations.
  • Opportunities to take on more responsibility as your skills develop.
  • Potential opportunities to grow your career within Amegreen.

Most importantly, you’ll be joining a team where you can ask questions, share ideas, get involved and learn by doing.

Why what you do matters

Although you’ll be based at our Head Office in Mortimer, your work will have an impact far beyond the office.

Every interview arranged and every candidate supported helps us move closer to finding the right people for our homes. People who can help create safe, nurturing environments where children and young people can feel understood, supported and able to thrive. You might be starting out in recruitment, but you’ll be helping us build the teams that make a genuine difference.

Ready to get stuck in?

If you’re a people person with bags of enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you. Bring your personality. Bring your ideas. Bring your can-do attitude. We’ll help you build the rest.

Apply today and take your first step towards a career with Amegreen Children’s Services!
