Apprentice (Technical)

Department: Production / TechnicalReports To: Production Manager / Assigned Supervisor

Job PurposeDevelop practical technical skills across OSG's container and modular works through structured on-the-job training, with the objective of progressing into a skilled Technician, Foreman or Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn practical electrical, plumbing and general technical works.
• Assist experienced technicians, foremen and supervisors.
• Learn installation, modification, repair and maintenance of container/modular units.
• Learn to read basic drawings, measurements and work instructions.
• Assist with installation of electrical fittings, lighting and related components under appropriate supervision.
• Assist with plumbing, sanitary fittings and water systems.
• Learn proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Learn basic troubleshooting and defect rectification.
• Maintain good housekeeping and proper tool/material control.
• Follow all safety instructions, RA, SWP and PPE requirements.
• Participate in technical and safety training.
• Develop the ability to complete assigned tasks independently as competency improves.
• Progressively learn worker coordination, work sequencing and quality inspection.
• Work towards eventual progression to Technician → Senior Technician/Foreman → Supervisor based on competency and performance.

Key KPIs: Skills acquired, training completion, workmanship, productivity, attendance, safety compliance and ability to work independently.
