About The Role
As an Apprentice Toolmaker in our Engineering Operations (Toolroom) team, you will begin a structured, hands-on career path in precision engineering. You will complete a nationally recognised qualification in Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade over 4 years.

This role suits someone with a strong interest in mechanical or manufacturing trades, who enjoys practical, detail-focused work and is committed to completing a full apprenticeship starting January 2027.
What You'll Do
- Work alongside qualified Toolmakers to manufacture and repair moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, press tools and special equipment used in production
- Learn to interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Operate and maintain workshop machinery and hand tools under supervision, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders and drilling machines
- Develop skills in measuring, marking out, machining, fitting and assembly of precision components
- Follow safe work practices and contribute to a clean, organised and efficient toolroom environment
- Assist with troubleshooting tooling issues on the shop floor and participate in repairs or modifications
- Complete all on-the-job training tasks and off-the-job (trade school/TAFE) study requirements as part of the apprenticeship program
- Collaborate with team members in Engineering Operations and other departments to support production needs
- Continuously build your technical knowledge, problem-solving skills and quality focus throughout the apprenticeship
About You

- Willingness and eligibility to undertake and complete a full apprenticeship term, including all study and training requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment

- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills, plus a proactive attitude to training and feedback
- Strong verbal and written communication skills appropriate for a workshop and training environment
- Basic numeracy and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to understand measurements and follow technical instructions
