Aviation Service Partners (ASP) is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Aviation Maintenance Apprentices at our Albertville, Alabama facility.

This is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals who want to build a career in aviation maintenance. Current A&P students are strongly encouraged to apply; however, an A&P certificate is not required. Candidates with demonstrated mechanical aptitude or relevant mechanical experience will also be considered.

At ASP, apprentices have the opportunity to work alongside experienced aviation maintenance professionals while gaining hands-on exposure to aircraft, maintenance processes, tooling, safety practices, technical documentation, and the aviation MRO environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Under the direction and supervision of qualified maintenance personnel, the Aviation Maintenance Apprentice may:

  • Assist A&P mechanics and other maintenance personnel with aircraft maintenance, inspections, repairs, and component removal and installation.
  • Perform basic mechanical and maintenance tasks within the individual's training and authorization.
  • Assist with aircraft servicing, cleaning, preparation, and ground-support activities.
  • Learn proper use, care, and accountability of aviation tools and equipment.
  • Assist with removal and installation of aircraft panels, interiors, components, and hardware.
  • Learn to read and follow aircraft maintenance manuals, work cards, technical instructions, and other approved maintenance documentation.
  • Maintain clean and organized aircraft and work areas.
  • Follow ASP's tool control, FOD prevention, safety, and quality procedures.
  • Accurately document work performed as required.
  • Work alongside experienced aviation professionals to develop practical aircraft maintenance skills.
  • Perform other duties appropriate to the apprentice's experience, training, and authorization.

What We're Looking For

Preferred candidates include:

  • Students currently enrolled in an FAA-approved A&P/Aviation Maintenance Technician program.
  • Individuals with previous aviation, military aviation, automotive, diesel, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or other relevant mechanical experience.
  • Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude who want to build a long-term career in aviation maintenance.

Mechanical experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • A&P certificate is not required.
  • Current enrollment in an A&P program is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical systems desired.
  • Ability and willingness to learn aircraft maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with aircraft maintenance.

Our goal is to provide motivated individuals with an opportunity to develop their skills, gain valuable industry experience, and progress toward becoming professional aircraft maintenance technicians.

If you're currently pursuing your A&P or have mechanical experience and want an opportunity to break into aviation maintenance, we encourage you to apply.
