APQP ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for new product introductions and product transfers.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor APQP plans to ensure on-time completion of all deliverables.
• Coordinate PPAP activities, including data collection, documentation review, customer submission, and approval.
• Support quality planning activities throughout the NPI phase to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional project teams to drive successful product launches.
• Review APQP deliverables and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Inspection Standards, and related records.
• Facilitate risk assessments and support implementation of preventive actions to reduce product and process risks.
• Track and report APQP progress, open issues, risks, and corrective actions.
• Support customer audits, process audits, and quality reviews related to APQP activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610, customer requirements, and internal quality standards.
• Support implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Exercise authority to reject documentation, processes, or products that do not meet established quality requirements.
• Exercise stop-line authority when product quality or process integrity is at risk.

Technical Knowledge

• Working knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes, including:
• Laser Marking
• Solder Paste Printing
• Dispensing
• AOI Inspection
• Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
• Through-Hole Technology (THT)
• Reflow Soldering
• Wave Soldering
• Selective Soldering
• X-Ray Inspection
• Ultrasonic Welding
• Working knowledge of assembly processes, including:
• 2D/3D AOI
• Screw Driving
• Heat Staking
• TIM/RTV Dispensing

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Language

• Advanced English (written and verbal).

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in APQP, Quality Engineering, or New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Experience with electronic manufacturing, SMT, and assembly processes.
• Experience managing customer APQP and PPAP requirements.
