APQP Quality Engineer

As part of strengthening Supply Chain and Supplier Quality activities for Airbus, you will be involved in supplier escalation management and industrial qualification project management, ensuring compliance with quality, cost and time requirements.

General duties of the position

1. SCQM support: SHM (After Sales Hamburg) escalation management

• Analysis and monitoring of escalations reported by Supplier Officers via the SHM tool.
• Coordination with suppliers and various Airbus stakeholders to identify the root causes of blockages and ensure their resolution.
• Monitoring of action plans relating to issues impacting the delivery of spare parts intended for the Airbus After Sales site in Hamburg.
• Managing a variety of issues: raw material shortages, production capacity constraints, supplier qualification delays, communication difficulties, delivery delays and other supply chain risks.
• Participation in follow-up meetings and reporting on the progress of escalations until their closure.

2. NPI Leader: Qualification of a new supplier

• Project management for the qualification of a new Chinese supplier specializing in additive manufacturing (3D titanium printing) of support parts for the A380 program.
• Coordination of the various stakeholders (Airbus, supplier, quality teams, engineering, purchasing, etc.).
• Monitoring of all project milestones, from the Kick-off Meeting to industrial qualification.
• Managing deliverables in accordance with the APQP methodology (planning, risk analysis, action tracking, validation of the different qualification stages).
• Facilitating project follow-up meetings and reporting progress to ensure compliance with quality, cost and time objectives.

Required skills

Supplier Management: Monitor and qualify suppliers, coordinate communication with various stakeholders, track requests and action plans, follow up as needed, identify potential risks or discrepancies, and ensure adherence to commitments and deadlines. Analysis and Synthesis: Ability to effectively analyze data, identify discrepancies, and synthesize complex information for clear decision-making. Customer Relations: Strong customer focus, ability to understand and manage customer expectations and opportunities. Excellent communication skills for presenting reports, proposing actions, and collaborating within the team.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Higher education qualification at Bac+4/5 level in quality or equivalent field.
• More than 4 years of professional experience in an industrial environment, ideally in the fields of supplier quality, APQP and NPI.
• Good understanding of industrial processes and the impact of changes in processes, components, suppliers or means of production.
