Location: ACT
Duration: 3 months
Hourly rate: 56-62 per hour
 
Our federal government client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Language Research Officer to support the maintenance and enhancement of a languages database.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and update language records using a range of sources.
• Analyse and verify linguistic and cultural information for database inclusion.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with established standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure quality and consistency of information.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Qualification in Linguistics or a qualification in Anthropology or a related discipline with demonstrated relevant experience.
• Strong research and analytical skills, demonstrated through academic research projects, thesis work, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
