Position Overview

Practice Care Solutions Pakistan is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented AR Executive to join our Accounts Receivable (AR) Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing outstanding insurance and patient accounts, following up on unpaid claims, identifying and resolving claim denials, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in US healthcare/medical billing, a strong understanding of the claims and reimbursement cycle, and excellent communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Review unpaid, partially paid, and denied insurance claims.
• Investigate claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
• Identify the root cause of claim denials and take appropriate corrective action.
• Contact insurance companies through payer portals and/or telephone to obtain claim status and payment information.
• Prepare and submit claim appeals and reconsiderations when required.
• Follow up on submitted appeals and maintain accurate records of their status.
• Review EOBs/ERAs and identify underpayments, non-payments, contractual adjustments, and other discrepancies.
• Work on ageing reports and prioritize accounts based on aging, balance, and payment potential.
• Maintain accurate documentation and detailed notes for all account follow-ups.
• Verify insurance claim status and eligibility information when required.
• Coordinate with the billing, coding, payment posting, and credentialing teams to resolve account-related issues.
• Identify recurring denial trends and communicate issues to the relevant departments.
• Ensure AR activities are completed according to company policies, client requirements, and departmental targets.
• Meet daily and monthly productivity and collection targets.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and client information in accordance with applicable healthcare privacy requirements.
• Perform other AR and medical billing-related duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant educational qualification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Billing, preferably specifically in AR.
• Practical knowledge of the US healthcare revenue cycle.
• Understanding of insurance claims, EOBs/ERAs, denials, appeals, and claim follow-up.
• Familiarity with payer portals and insurance verification processes.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
