Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Arabic/Levantine Dialect Interpreter to join our multilingual interpretation team. In this role, you will facilitate clear and accurate communication across diverse settings by interpreting spoken language from Arabic, specifically the Levantine dialect, into English and vice versa. Your expertise will support various industries including healthcare, legal, educational, and community services. Duties

• Provide interpretation services in Arabic (Levantine dialect) and English across multiple platforms including over-the-phone, in-person, and remote settings.
• Conduct simultaneous interpretation during live conversations, meetings, or conferences to facilitate real-time understanding.
• Perform consecutive interpretation by listening carefully and conveying messages accurately after pauses or at designated intervals.
• Support educational interpretation needs by assisting students, teachers, and administrators with language barriers while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ensure cultural competency by understanding regional nuances and context-specific expressions within the Levantine dialect to deliver authentic interpretations.
• Maintain high standards of professional ethics by adhering to confidentiality agreements and impartiality in all interpretation assignments.
• Utilize translation skills to convert written documents from Arabic to English and vice versa when required.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, active listening, and linguistic proficiency in both languages to ensure clarity and precision in every interaction.
• Stay current with industry best practices in interpretation techniques such as American Sign Language integration where applicable.

Experience

• Multilingual proficiency with fluency in both Arabic (Levantine dialect) and English is essential; certification or proven experience is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in interpretation methods including over-the-phone interpretation, simultaneous, consecutive, and educational interpretation.
• Prior experience working with diverse populations in professional settings such as healthcare, legal environments, or educational institutions is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances within the Levantine region to enhance interpretive accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
• Knowledge of linguistics principles related to translation accuracy and effective communication strategies.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
• Familiarity with foreign language proficiency standards and interpretation ethics to ensure compliance with industry guidelines.
