Arborist Apprentice

Kick-start your career outdoors with an apprenticeship and learn from experienced industry professionals.

We have 10x full-time opportunities available in our Apprenticeship Program based in Newcastle working across our major tree maintenance and vegetation management contracts. You'll gain hands on experience while studying towards a Certificate III in Arboriculture, developing the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career in the Tree industry. With exposure to diverse projects and work environments, no two days are the same.

Duties:

As an Apprentice Arborist, you'll work alongside experienced team members while completing your formal training. Duties may include:

·        Assisting with tree pruning and maintenance activities

·        Ground support for climbing and tree crews

·        Tree planting and vegetation management

·        Weed and vegetation control

·        Learning safe operation of arboriculture tools and equipment

·        Traffic and worksite safety support

·        Vehicle, equipment and tool maintenance

·        Applying industry best practice safety standards and environmental principles

About You:

·     A current driver's licence (or be working towards obtaining one)

·     A White Card (Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain

·     A strong commitment to safety

·     A strong work ethic and positive attitude

·     A willingness to learn and develop new skills

·     Reliability and a commitment to working safely
