Arborist

Asplundh is seeking qualified or experienced Arborists to join our New Plymouth branch and work across the region delivering high-quality tree care services. In this role, you'll support a range of arboricultural work including pruning, removals, and general tree maintenance, working with your crew to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

What you'll bring:

• Minimum NZQA Level 3 or Level 4 (or equivalent) in Arboriculture
• Minimum Class 1 Driver Licence
• Minimum 1 year experience
• Solid arboriculture knowledge (tree identification, pruning principles, and tree health fundamentals)
• Experience using chainsaws, pole saws, and wood chippers
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain, including manual handling and physical tasks
• Ability to climb and work at height using ropes and harness systems
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment MOJ check, drug and alcohol test, and medical assessment
