Archery Instructor

Cedar Hills Recreation Center is accepting applications for Archery Instructors to lead weekend classes at the PCC Rock Creek archery range, with additional opportunities to instruct youth camps during the summer months.

We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and safety-oriented individuals who enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities. Ideal candidates have experience with archery, coaching, or recreational instruction and are passionate about creating safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environments.

Schedule

This archery position typically offers 5 to 10 hours per week, primarily on weekends. Instructors may have opportunities to work additional hours in other programs across THPRD, up to 29 hours per week. This is a part-time variable position, with schedules based on programming needs. Part-time staff may work up to 1,560 hours per year.

Qualifications

• Instructor I

No teaching experience required; must love working with people of all ages and abilities; be able to work inside and outside; and be at least 16 years of age.

Pay rate range: $19.78 to $22.30 hourly (based on experience and internal equity). Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.

• Instructor II

Must have at least 1 year of experience in leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age.

Pay rate range: $21.81 to $24.59 hourly (based on experience and internal equity). Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.

• Instructor III

Must have over 2 years of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area, be 18 years of age, and have a valid driver's license.

Pay rate range: $26.51 to $27.33 hourly (based on experience and internal equity). The full hourly range for this job classification is $26.51 to $29.89. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.
