Archery Sales & Bow Technician

• This is a COMMISSION-based position, base pay starts at $8.25/hr. Plus commission.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers with friendly, professional communication to understand their needs and recommend suitable archery products.
• Conduct product demonstrations, showcasing the features and benefits of bows, arrows, accessories, and related gear.
• Perform bow tuning, adjustments, repairs, and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance for customers.
• Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
• Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining organized product knowledge throughout the store.
• Upsell complementary products such as targets, cases, or maintenance supplies to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume.
• Provide training or guidance on proper shooting techniques and safety protocols to new or novice archers.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Support inventory management by tracking stock levels, processing shipments, and participating in regular stock checks.

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially within sporting goods or outdoor recreation stores.
• Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities or team support roles.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts including discounts, pricing strategies, and cash drawer handling.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in a bilingual environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge related to archery equipment is highly desirable.
• Experience conducting product demos or technical repairs on bows or sporting gear is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Basic math skills necessary for daily cash register operations and retail transactions are essential.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
