We are looking for an experienced Architect who combines strong architectural design and documentation skills with advanced Revit modelling and high-quality architectural visualization. The successful candidate will play an active role in developing architectural designs, producing coordinated construction drawings, identifying design and buildability issues, and creating photorealistic visuals for marketing and sales.

Role Overview

The Architect will work closely with the architectural team throughout the design and documentation process, from early design development to construction-ready drawing sets.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate Revit models, coordinating architectural documentation, reviewing design changes, and producing compelling visualizations that remain faithful to the actual proposed development.

We need someone who can work independently, exercise sound architectural judgment, maintain high technical standards, and deliver quality outputs with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Design & Revit Modelling

• Develop, maintain, and manage accurate Revit models for active and upcoming Cogent developments, including Bilham Heights.
• Participate in architectural design development, translating design concepts and requirements into practical, well-resolved architectural solutions.
• Produce coordinated architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and construction documentation.
• Establish and maintain proper model structures, levels, grids, wall types, families, and documentation standards.
• Ensure that drawings remain consistent with the Revit model and that design revisions are accurately reflected across all relevant documents.
• Review designs for dimensional inconsistencies, clashes, coordination issues, and potential construction challenges before they reach the site.
• Apply sound architectural judgment to ensure designs are practical, functional, aesthetically coherent, and buildable.
• Maintain organised Revit files, drawing registers, revision records, and project documentation.

2. Architectural Visualization & Rendering

• Produce high-quality, photorealistic architectural renders, 3D visuals, and walkthroughs for ongoing and proposed developments.
• Develop buyer-facing visual materials for property brochures, presentations, digital marketing, and sales campaigns.
• Manage the visualization workflow from model preparation and material application to lighting, camera composition, rendering, and post-production.
• Work confidently with SketchUp and rendering software such as Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray, Twinmotion, or comparable tools.
• Ensure that all visualizations accurately represent the approved or proposed architectural design, including materials, dimensions, finishes, and spatial relationships.
• Maintain organised source files and ensure that visual outputs can be revised efficiently when designs change.
• Collaborate with the architectural and marketing teams to deliver visuals that meet both technical and commercial requirements.

3. Construction Coordination & Technical Review

• Conduct site visits to Bilham Heights, Yaba, and other project locations as required.
• Review architectural drawings against site conditions and identify discrepancies requiring clarification or revision.
• Work with site personnel, consultants, and other relevant project teams to resolve architectural coordination and buildability issues.
• Incorporate approved design changes into Revit models and construction drawings promptly.
• Provide technical clarification on architectural drawings and details where required.
• Identify potential design errors early and recommend practical solutions that minimise rework, delays, and unnecessary construction costs.
• Maintain clear communication with the architectural team and escalate significant technical issues appropriately.

4. Documentation & Project Delivery

• Deliver accurate drawings, models, and visualizations within agreed project timelines.
• Maintain proper version control and ensure that only current, approved drawings are issued for construction or external use.
• Organise and archive project files in accordance with company documentation standards.
• Support design presentations, project reviews, and internal planning meetings.
• Take ownership of assigned deliverables from commencement through review, revision, and final submission.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to architectural design, documentation, visualization, and project execution as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• A recognised degree in Architecture (B.Sc., B.Tech., or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, Revit modelling, architectural documentation, or a closely related role.
• Demonstrable experience working on real architectural projects, preferably residential or multi-storey developments.
• Strong working proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including modelling from scratch, family management, drawing production, schedules, revisions, and documentation.
• Proven ability to produce complete, coordinated architectural drawing sets suitable for design development and construction documentation.
• Strong SketchUp skills and demonstrable competence in architectural 3D visualization.
• Proficiency in at least one rendering engine, such as Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray, Twinmotion, or an equivalent tool.
• A strong professional portfolio containing architectural drawings, Revit-based work, and high-quality renders personally produced by the applicant.
• Good understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, materials, and buildability.
• Ability to identify design inconsistencies and coordination issues before they result in site problems.
• Strong attention to detail, technical judgment, organisation, and time management.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables, respond to design changes, and work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and collaboration skills when working with architects, consultants, site teams, and management.
• Willingness to work in person in Lagos and attend project site visits as required.

Added advantage: Experience with Nigerian residential developments, multi-storey buildings, construction-stage coordination, and preparation of marketing-grade architectural visualizations.

Who Should Apply?

You must be confident enough in Revit to manage complex modelling and documentation tasks, skilled enough in visualization to produce material suitable for prospective buyers, and experienced enough to identify problems before they become costly site issues.
