Architect - Cloud Platform Engineering

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Open Policy Agent (OPA), Terraform, AWS cloud services, and DevOps automation . The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and managing secure, scalable, and policy-driven cloud infrastructure, while enabling automation and governance across modern cloud-native platforms and AI-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement policy-as-code solutions using the Open Policy Agent (OPA) framework
• Build and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Develop, deploy, and support cloud-native applications and services on AWS
• Configure and manage containerized workloads using ECS and EKS
• Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda (Python)
• Implement governance, compliance, and security controls across cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Develop and maintain GitHub Actions-based CI/CD workflows for automated deployments and testing
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and engineering teams to enforce cloud standards and operational best practices
• Optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency in AWS environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure, deployment, and policy-related issues
• Maintain technical documentation for cloud architecture, deployment pipelines, and governance frameworks

Required Skills Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering / DevOps / Platform Engineering
• Strong hands-on expertise with:
  • Open Policy Agent (OPA) Framework
  • Policy-as-Code and governance automation
• Strong experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services , specifically:
  • AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service)
  • AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
  • AWS Lambda (Python-based development)
  • AWS Agent Core
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies
• Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Proficiency in Python scripting/development for automation and Lambda functions
• Strong understanding of:
  • Cloud security and compliance
  • IAM roles and access controls
  • Infrastructure automation and monitoring
• Experience with Git-based version control workflows
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes administration and cluster management
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices and security automation
• Familiarity with OPA Gatekeeper or Kubernetes admission controllers
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures
• Exposure to AI/Agentic platforms or cloud-native AI workloads
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.) preferred
