Architect

Job Scope

• Lead and manage architectural projects from concept design through to project completion.

• Develop and coordinate design concepts, architectural drawings, specifications, and presentation materials.

• Prepare and review design development, authority submission, tender, and construction drawings.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Manage project timeline, design quality, budget, and construction progress.

• Attend site meetings, consultant meetings, client meetings, and site inspections as required.

• Monitor construction works and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, design intent, and quality standards.

• Review and coordinate shop drawings, material samples, technical submissions, and site queries.

• Identify and resolve design, technical, and construction issues in a timely manner.

• Coordinate architectural works with structural, M&E, interior, landscape, and other consultants.

• Liaise with relevant authorities and assist with planning and statutory submissions and approvals.

• Review and provide comments on contractor submissions, variations, claims, and progress works where required.

• Ensure project documentation, drawings, correspondence, and records are properly maintained and updated.

• Provide guidance and technical support to Architectural Assistants, Junior Architects, and other project team members.

• Delegate tasks, monitor team progress, and ensure deliverables are completed within the required timeframe.

• Maintain effective communication with the Principal Architect and management on project progress, issues, risks, and key decisions.

• Ensure all architectural works comply with relevant Malaysian building regulations, standards, authority requirements, and professional practices.

• Assist in preparing project proposals, presentations, and other business development materials when required.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must process at least a Master in Architecture.
• Self-motivated, take ownership and able to work independently.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design, drafting and rendering software
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with pleasant personality
• Able to communicate with our diverse client in Mandarin, English and Malay.
