Architect

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Architectural Design & Planning

• Prepare architectural concepts, schematic designs, detailed designs, and construction drawings.
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and architectural details.
• Ensure designs comply with client requirements, project budgets, and UAE building regulations.
• Coordinate architectural layouts with structural, MEP, and interior design teams.
• Review and finalize architectural drawings before submission.

2. Authority Approvals & UAE Regulations

• Prepare architectural drawings and documents for authority submissions.
• Have good knowledge of Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Development Authority (DDA), Trakhees, Dubai Civil Defence (DCD), and other relevant authorities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, Dubai Building Code, and accessibility requirements.
• Coordinate with authorities and follow up on design approvals, comments, and NOCs.
• Revise drawings according to authority comments and approval requirements.

3. Project Coordination & Management

• Handle multiple architectural projects simultaneously.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal engineering departments.
• Attend design coordination meetings and provide technical solutions.
• Monitor architectural deliverables to ensure timely project completion.
• Report project progress, design issues, and delays to management.

4. Technical Drawings & Documentation

• Prepare and review IFC (Issued for Construction), tender, and authority submission drawings.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and architectural specifications.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of drawings prepared by architectural draftsmen.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing revision records.
• Prepare architectural schedules, material specifications, and relevant BOQ inputs.

5. Site Supervision & Quality Control

• Conduct site visits to verify architectural work against approved drawings.
• Coordinate with site engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Review architectural finishing materials and workmanship.
• Identify design discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with snagging inspections and project handover documentation.

6. Client Communication & Design Development

• Attend client meetings to understand project requirements.
• Present architectural proposals, layouts, and design concepts.
• Incorporate client feedback while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Recommend practical and cost-effective design solutions.
• Manage architectural design changes and maintain client satisfaction.

7. Team Coordination & Leadership

• Guide junior architects and architectural draftsmen.
• Allocate drawing preparation and design development tasks.
• Review team deliverables for quality and accuracy.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other engineering departments.
• Support the Design Manager in maintaining project schedules and deliverables.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
