Architect – Material Research & Coordination

Are you an architect curious about materials, innovation, emerging technologies, international sourcing, and the way design translates into reality?

At Archease, we bring architects, material manufacturers, vendors, and projects together to create better-informed design and material decisions. We are looking for a proactive architect who enjoys exploring new materials, understanding diverse design approaches, evaluating solutions, and coordinating their implementation.

This role offers an opportunity to look beyond a single project or design practice and gain exposure to multiple architects, diverse project typologies, material innovations, and real-world implementation.

Key Responsibilities

* Architect Engagement: Interact with architects and design firms to understand their design intent, project requirements, and material needs.

* Material Research & Innovation: Explore architectural materials, finishes, products, technologies, and innovative building solutions from India and international markets.

* Vendor Identification & Evaluation: Identify, assess, and coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and specialist vendors.

* Quotation & Technical Validation: Verify and validate comparative quotations, product specifications, technical submissions, pricing, and commercial terms.

* Material Selection & Implementation: Coordinate samples, mock-ups, approvals, procurement follow-ups, and on-site material implementation to help ensure alignment with design intent and specifications.

* Project & Vendor Coordination: Track enquiries, project progress, material deliveries, pending decisions, and vendor commitments.

* Digital Documentation: Maintain organised material databases, vendor profiles, enquiry trackers, and project records.

Build a combination of architectural understanding, material expertise, commercial awareness, research skills, and professional relationship management—capabilities that extend beyond conventional architectural practice.

Candidate Profile

* B.Arch degree from a recognised institution.

* 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.

* Good understanding of building materials, finishes, specifications, and architectural detailing.

* Strong research, analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

* Ability to evaluate technical information and compare commercial proposals.

* Proficiency in MS Excel, presentations, and digital documentation tools.

* Willingness to travel for architect meetings, material sourcing, vendor visits, and site coordination as required.

* Curiosity, initiative, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn.
